Happy to be here!
When I chose photography as my major, my sister suggested shadowing another photographer to learn the craft. I thought about it. All the time spent in school and the cost. The easy way out. Obviously I chose school. I wanted to learn the art/history /mechanics/and the craft of photography. I am so thankful in such a short time at Suffolk for the vast amount of knowledge I have learned and the understanding of the depth of the craft. Do not get me wrong, shadowing a professional is important either in the process of getting my degree or afterwards. With the elective classes I took last semester "Introduction to Literature" and "Developing Creative Imagination in the Arts" it made me realize how all classes including Math, etc.... can help you complete and develop your skills in your chosen field. I am still trying to figure out how gym fits in with photography? Being more mobile?

Did you have Goldman for Devleoping the Creative Imagination in the Arts? If so, just wondering how that class turned out? I am taking it now.
